The Bel Air Community Chorus performed on Sunday evening, as part of the Town of Bel Air Summer Concert Series, in the newly renovated Humbert Memorial Bandshell. Concluding our spring concert season, titled “Aspects of Love,” the chorus showcased a variety of music representing friendship, patriotism, romance and love of nature. The concert also featured several soloists: Jessica Peary, Alto, in Home, Addie Blevins, Soprano and Jessica Peary, Alto, in For Good, Megan Czako, Soprano, and Brian Grover, Tenor, in Seasons of Love, and Christina Rodriguez, Soprano, in Hymn to America. Additional musical guests included Percussionist, Mark Leppo and Guitarist, EJ Reilly.
The newly formed Bel Air Community Chorus Chamber Choir performed two songs, A Red, Red Rose and If Music Be the Food of Love. Thanks to the devotion of our singers and the musical leadership of our Artistic Director, Jay Althouse and Assistant Artistic Director, Jenny Anderson, the chorus closed out the season with what many concert goers proclaimed to be our best concert performance to date. Preparations for the December concert are underway and the chorus looks forward to providing quality choral performances for our community. Rehearsals for the new season begin September 1st, please contact us if you would like to experience all of the friendship, music and fun that the Bel Air Community Chorus has to offer.
